Looking for something to do in Rochester and surrounding areas? is your place to check!  There were nearly 5 PAGES of activity ideas for February Recess!!

Does your child love Music?  Every Monday at the Peace Lutheran church you can find Meredith and the children happily singing, dancing, making sounds and playing with the parachute.  The class is always followed by a healthy, yummy, homemade snack! Come this Monday for the one year anniversary celebration!!

Have you ever heard of the Waldorf style of learning?  Well, we are lucky to have a Waldorf style kindergarten right here in our neighborhood!  check out Kristy's website!

Need to know the fees/hours/events going on at local kid friendly establishments? Here are some quick links!

Seneca Park Zoo- (My wonderful families chipped in and bought Jills House a membership this year!  THANK YOU, WONDERFUL FAMILIES!!)

Strong Museum of Play- Im sure you have seen many, many photos of our adventures here! We love it so much, we go once a week!

Springdale Farm-You might think its too cold to visit the farm, but the animals still live there!  My little ones love the BIG GIANT PIG the most!

Rochester Toy Library- Im glad to be posting this link, because I forgot all about it!  You can borrow toys with your public library card!  How cool is that?  Send them back when your kids get bored with them (and they do get bored, believe me!) Save money!  Stop buying toys they get bored with after a few weeks!

Rochester Public Library- Ill bet you dont even know half of the resources your local library provides!  FREE internet! Story times!  Dial-a-story! Books on tape!  Books you can listen to, etc... the list goes on and on.  and its all FREE!!  I never mind paying my fines for late fees, as I know all my money goes back into this wonderful establishment. Visit your local library today!  We go every week, although sometimes my little ones grumble on the way there, they ALWAYS seem to have fun once we get there!

well, thats a little more information on some of my highly recommended links!  Hope you have a wonderful day!  xoxox

postheadericon Happy 2012!

I must admit I am behind on my blogging, so sorry!!  Ill try to give you all a quick summary (in pictures of course!)

Jill's House has been having a lot of fun!  We take regular trips to the Strong Museum of Play, Story Hour at the Highland Library, the Public Market, as well as our neighborhood playground (we love the Linden Street Playground!)  It has been a mild winter, so we havent had much time to play in the snow, but have had a couple chances to make snowmen (or snow women!)

Another Mom and I asked our librarian if we could include a project at the end of her storytime and she said YES!  We try to tie our projects to her weekly theme and its been a big hit!

This is NOT your typical January in Rochester! I promise!!

we have been celebrating quite a few birthday recently!  Skylar turned 4! Keira turned 5! Simon turned 3!

here is Skylar on her big day:

The wizard of Oz exhibit is at the museum right now, I couldnt get the kids interested until Simon found the Farm area, now its a new favorite!

Projects sponsored by the Highland Library branch!

Jill has turned the back porch into an art center, its being well used!

To make life even more fun, we have been hanging out with our good friends Zosima, Giada and their Nanny, Dora, more kids makes for more fun!  We get together and play and bake a lot!

Life is sooooo good, I thank God for making my passion possible!  I thank all my families for their trust and love, I thank my landlord for allowing me to do this here, I thank my neighbor downstairs for putting up with the noise! I thank the library for being their for us, for my neighborhood for being so wonderful, I thank YOU for whatever part you play!
